The crisis management system Eagle will give help the Punjab province of Pakistan. The system operates to gain control of the local emergency responders to the big flood disaster. A team of volunteers of Esri Nederland and Geodan and is locally working in Lahore to install Eagle, deploy and order data. The team will also train the 40 local emergency responders.
There are three goals up: support the already existing team of emergency-response to effectively work, inventory and resource management for all equipment and resources directly needed in a crisis situation (for example, available property, location of boats, medicines, tents) and an early warning system for future disasters. The developers of Eagle (Esri Netherlands, Geodan and Microsoft) have donated the software.
Pakistan has since early August due to flooding. More than one million houses have been destroyed by water. The infrastructure of the country and its economic prospects were severely affected.
