The basis for the Eagle Suite is Esri ArcGIS platform. This platform has a modular structure and is fully scalable. Due to certain issues, such as the linking of data sources to be regulated at the level of the GIS platform, it does not apply to every link in the security chain to be done separately.

Using a standard GIS platform offers the following benefits:
• Easy management, data management and functionality centrally controlled
• Reuse: the underlying GIS software can be used for multiple applications
• Standardization, the platform ensures adherence to national and international standards
• Functionality based on user requirements, the flexibility of the GIS platform, by role or user
• Links, external data such as base maps and meteorological data can be easily added
The scalability allows the file system to expand both within their own (operational) domain and outside its own domain (chain partners). Once an organization within two or more links of the chain with a security solution be completed Eagle, it is useful to the GIS platform as a foundation to build.
